Labor Day weekend each year is consistently a fun family filled weekend.
Is the one time of year that my pal and I all get together and go on our annual camping trip before the teenagers head back to college. My number one part of the entire weekend it’s the evenings spent around the campfire sharing stories and making s’mores. This year however the campfire turned out to be our only saving grace, because the temperature is dropped so low that my pal and I were all freezing. As with any outdoor adventure, you need to be prepared for just about any type of weather, however since it was the start of September my pal and I never planned on waking up to 40 degrees. I remember going to bed the night before and thinking it was a little freezing however when I woke in the day and could see my breath I could hardly know it, our whole family are tent campers and so none of us have a alternate heat source other than the fire at night the battle of the frosty uneven temperatures. I think is that moment I would have given anything to have a portable Heating, Ventilation and A/C component with us so that I could just adjust the temperature and get moderate again. I got up and dressed and as many layers of clothing as I possibly could and headed down to the camp store to get a cup of coffee. There were many other campers that have the same idea as I did and my pal and I all decided to hang out there until the sunlight was fully up. I do savor our family camping trips however maybe next year my pal and I should look into renting a trip home instead, at least then I would have some sort of climate control available.
