My Mom & Mom decided to take their openings & book a trip to the beach in early October! The past multiple years that time of year has been easily nice & we have had unusually moderate uneven temperatures so they decided that maybe they would get lucky & we would have the same, my nice friend and I saved a lot of currency by booking in the off season & we are all looking forward to our trip however as the morning approach we got a little upset.
The national weather forecast wasn’t looking that relaxing however we had already paid for the rental so we decided to head out anyway.
My nice friend and I did thankfully pack some of our sweatshirts & sweatpants in case it got cooler at night & we were easily glad that we did so. The first two days that we were there or sunny & moderate & we thought that we had dodged a bullet when it came to the weather, however, the remainder of the trip turned out to be chilly & rainy & with nothing however a wood stove in the beach home we were cold most of the time. My Mom even went to the local hardware store to get a couple of those plug-in portable heaters just so that we could sleep at night, then i’m not sure why my parents did not decide to just head home at that point I suppose they were just hoping that the weather would get better again. I did learn my lesson about holidaying during the offseason no matter where you are going, because even if it’s a nice deal you are not able to take fortune of the things you normally would during the official season. Most of the normal recreation things that we would have done we are closed. The boat rental location was locked up for the season so we couldn’t even go out on the lake to fish.
